What safety standards do HEVEA Toys comply with? There are no rules or regulations for these toys but all our products are tested to prove that they meet EU standard EN1400, US regulations CPSIA and AUS regulation AS 2432-1991. We are continuously testing our products and have very good results in all tests. We work with an independent research agency, SGS, one of the world’s leading company for testing and analysis.

The HEVEA Toy seems oily – Why is that? The toys have been treated with vegetable oil. It is completely safe and harmless. You can however clean it with a damp cloth and mild soap.

Is the HEVEA Toy freezer friendly? Yes, you can put the toys in the freezer or refrigerator.

How durable are the HEVEA Toys? Compared to most toys the HEVEA Toys are extremely durable. We have put them through hard tests of heavy chewers and they are very resistant to severe chewing. However, as it is a natural material it is not indestructible and is not a tug toy. Should there be some damage on the toys, please make sure to remove the toy.

Are the HEVEA Toys dishwasher safe? We do not recommend putting the toys in a dishwasher. Instead clean with a damp cloth or sterilise in boiling water.

Our HEVEA Toy has been left outdoors and now looks different – is it safe to use? The toys are naturally biodegradable and will start to change colour if left out in the sun or rain over a longer period of time. You can rub them with a bit of vegetable oil to make them last longer or bring the shine back. As it is a natural product it will not last forever. If too damaged make sure to discard following the recycling standards of your local area or compost using hot composting techniques.

The HEVEA Toy has a particular smell – why is that? We have not scented or changed anything about the material – it is the scent of safe and natural rubber.

How to dispose of a HEVEA Toy ? As it is a natural product the toys will not last forever. If damaged make sure to discard following the recycling standards for natural rubber in your local area or compost using hot composting techniques.
