THE GREEN TRANSITION STARTS WITH BETTER MATERIAL CHOICES
The green transition is about reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and replacing them with renewable, lower-impact alternatives. One of the biggest challenges is cutting CO₂ emissions while moving towards a more circular and responsible way of producing and consuming.
WHAT IS CO₂ AND WHY DOES IT MATTER?
CO₂ (carbon dioxide) is a naturally occurring gas in our atmosphere and an essential part of life on Earth. However, human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation have dramatically increased CO₂ levels, contributing to climate change and global warming.
Reducing CO₂ emissions is one of the most important steps in the green transition.
WHY NATURAL RUBBER?
Natural rubber is a renewable material harvested from rubber trees, making it a more sustainable alternative to fossil fuel-based plastics and silicone. Unlike conventional plastics, natural rubber comes from a renewable resource and can biodegrade under the right conditions, helping to reduce long-term environmental pollution.
By choosing products made from natural rubber, we support the transition towards renewable materials, reduce our reliance on fossil resources, and contribute to a healthier planet for future generations.
climate action plan
Together, we can support the green transition.
Every HEVEA product is designed with responsible material choices and long-term environmental improvement in mind. Through our Climate Action Plan, we are committed to measuring and reducing our climate impact, improving packaging, increasing circularity, and strengthening transparency throughout our supply chain.
We continuously work to reduce waste by reusing materials where possible, extending the life of products through circular initiatives, and improving how we design, produce, and package our products.
By choosing HEVEA, you are supporting a company committed to continuous environmental improvement and helping us accelerate the transition towards a more circular, lower-impact future.
Did you know?
Natural rubber comes from the Hevea brasiliensis tree. The tree produces latex for around 30-35 years while continuing to grow and absorb CO₂ throughout its lifetime.
Tree Nation
In 2021, we proudly launched a partnership with Tree Nation to plant our own Hevea forest. Our love for trees and all things green is an intrinsic part of our being at HEVEA. Tree Nation works on reforestation and conservation projects to restore forests, create jobs, support local communities, and protect biodiversity.
Our first initiative contributed to the planting of 4,600 Hevea brasiliensis trees through the Amazonia Rioterra project in Brazil, supporting the restoration of degraded land and the establishment of new forest areas.
You can follow the growth of our forest through Tree-Nation below.
