Natural or upcycled – what's the difference?

The HEVEA Star Activity Ball is available in two material variations, both based on natural rubber derived from the Hevea brasiliensis tree.

Classic natural rubber

The natural version showcases the characteristic shade of natural rubber, with its distinctive softness, flexibility and elastic feel.

Upcycled natural rubber

Our selected coloured variants are made using natural rubber material recovered from manufacturing processes and incorporated into new prodcuts. This allows existing rubber material to be used in the production of new toys while retaining the soft, flexible characteristics of natural rubber.

Care and use

Always supervise babies and young children during play.

Inspect the Star Activity Ball carefully before each use and discontinue use immediately if it shows signs of damage, tearing or deterioration.

Clean according to the instructions supplied with the product and allow it to dry thoroughly before storing.

• Daily Cleaning: Wash regularly with warm water and mild soap, or wipe down thoroughly with a damp cloth.
• Sterilization: Can be sterilized in freshly boiled water for up to 1 minute. Allow the ball to cool completely before handing it to your child.
• Storage: Keep in a clean, dry place away from direct heat and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
• Inspection: Always inspect the ball for wear and tear before play. Discard or replace the product immediately if a tear or split appears.
