The HEVEA® Orthodontic Pacifier combines the naturally soft feel of natural rubber with thoughtful Danish design, creating a lovely everyday companion for your newborn.

Specially designed for newborns aged 0–3 months, this pacifier is made from natural rubber latex derived from the Hevea brasiliensis tree, a renewable, plant-derived raw material.

The pacifier features a soft, flexible orthodontic teat, a seamless one-piece construction and HEVEA's signature butterfly-shaped shield with four playful ventilation openings.

Why choose an orthodontic teat?

The orthodontic teat features a gently flattened bottom and rounded top, creating an asymmetrical shape designed to sit comfortably in your newborn's mouth.

Compared with a traditional round teat, its flatter profile follows the contours of the tongue and palate.

Every baby is different, and choosing between an orthodontic, round or symmetrical teat often comes down to your little one's individual preference.

Extra soft and flexible

A small ventilation hole in the teat allows air to move in and out as your baby sucks, helping the teat gently compress and adapt to the sucking movement.

This gives the teat its soft, flexible feel against your newborn's gums.

Seamless one-piece design

HEVEA pacifiers feature a seamless, one-piece construction without unnecessary joints or hard-to-reach crevices, making them easy to clean and care for.

The signature butterfly-shaped shield is designed to fit around your baby's nose and cheeks, while four integrated ventilation openings allow air to circulate around the mouth area.

Natural or coloured – what's the difference?

Whether you prefer the classic natural rubber shade or one of HEVEA's beautiful colours, both versions are made from natural rubber latex derived from the Hevea brasiliensis tree.

The natural version showcases the characteristic shade of natural rubber, while our coloured pacifiers contain carefully selected colour pigments incorporated during manufacturing.

According to our manufacturer's declaration, the colour pigments used in HEVEA's coloured pacifiers are listed under US FDA regulation 21 CFR §178.3297.

Both versions retain the naturally soft and flexible characteristics of natural rubber.

Care and replacement

For hygiene reasons, HEVEA recommends replacing pacifiers every 6–8 weeks, depending on use and care.

Always inspect the pacifier carefully before each use, pulling the teat in all directions. Discard it immediately at the first signs of damage or weakness, even if it has been used for less than six weeks.

Always follow the cleaning and sterilisation instructions supplied with the product.

• Sterilization: Before first use, and regularly for ongoing hygiene, sterilize the pacifier by soaking it in a bowl of freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. Allow it to cool completely and squeeze out any trapped water from the teat before giving it to your child.
• Daily Cleaning: Clean regularly with warm water and mild soap. Do not clean in a dishwasher or microwave sterilizer, as high heat and harsh detergents will break down the natural rubber material.
• Maintenance: Always inspect the pacifier before each use by pulling the teat gently in all directions. In accordance with international safety standards, replace the pacifier every 6–8 weeks for hygiene and safety reasons, or immediately if any signs of wear, splits, or stickiness appear.
