The toys can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap or can be sterilised in boiling water.
There are no rules or regulations for pet toys but all our products are tested to prove that they meet EU standard EN1400, US regulations CPSIA and AUS regulation AS 2432-1991. We are continuously testing our products and have very good results in all tests. We work with an independent research agency, SGS, one of the world’s leading company for testing and analysis.
The toys have been treated with vegetable oil. It is completely safe and harmless. You can however clean it with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Yes, you can put the toys in the freezer or refrigerator. For teething puppies it can be nice cooling element to relieve aches or on a hot day fill the toys with you dogs favourite food and freeze it. Leave to thaw a bit before feeding your dog.
Compared to most dog toys the HEVEA Puppy Toys are extremely durable. We have put them through hard tests of heavy chewers and they are very resistant to severe chewing. However, as it is a natural material it is not indestructible and is not a tug toy. Should your dog manage to chew bits of please make sure to remove the toy to limit choking hazards.
We do not recommend putting the toys in a dishwasher. Instead clean with a damp cloth or sterilise in boiling water.
The toys are naturally biodegradable and will start to change colour if left out in the sun or rain over a longer period of time. You can rub them with a bit of vegetable oil to make them last longer or bring the shine back. As it is a natural product it will not last forever. If too damaged make sure to discard following the recycling standards of your local area or compost using hot composting techniques.
We have not scented or changed anything about the material – it is the scent of safe and natural rubber.
